What to wear for Christmas Photos?

Trying to decide what to wear for the photos that will go on your Christmas card?

CONSIDER YOUR BACKDROP

After choosing the location, decide what colors will blend well with the background.   Classic outfits that are not very trendy work the best in photos.

If the backdrop is fancy, wear a dress.  Not into dresses?  Jeans and nice shirt, jacket or vest always work well.

PICK NEUTRAL COLORS

Choose a neutral color and add an accent color to “pop.”  If you are taking Christmas photos on a pine tree farm you may go with a light beige and accent with dark maroon.  If you are in the studio using a darker color backdrop, red accented with black might work well.

Accessorize

Adding an accessory or two with your Christmas outfit can really help bring some extra dimension to your images, and a nice way to add some accent of color.

Belts, bracelets, and earrings that look very simple can go a long way.

Bonus Tip

Try on all outfits at a least 2 weeks before the shoot.  Make sure clothing that is too tight or too big is not very flattering to the figure.  Trying on the outfit the morning of the session and finding out it does fit can make a complicated day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
